Lu Heintz has produced sculpture and architectural commissions since she graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Sculpture in 2001. She Is based in Rhode Island and teaches at the Steel Yard and Rhode Island School of Design ce.

Recent exhibitions include: Perimeter Gallery (Chicago, IL), Brookfield Craft Center (CT), The RISD Museum (Providence, RI), The Center for Craft, Creativity and Design, (Hendersonville, NC), The Houston Center for Contemporary Craft (TX), The National Ornamental Metals Museum (Memphis, TN), and Elm Park (Worcester, MA).
